Walter Todd bumped Todd Hendley off the top of the leader board after the second round of the SCGA Senior Amateur at the Dataw Island Club.

Hendley, a two time defending champion, had led the event for seven straight rounds over three years before Todd carded a 1-under par 71 to take the lead.

The 2016 South Carolina Golf Association Senior Player of the Year opened the tournament with a 2-under par 70 to go with his second round 71 for a 141 total and a two shot lead over Hendley and Geno Berchiatti.

Hendley shot a 1 under par round of 71 with a double-bogey while Berchiatti from Simpsonville posted a 1-over par 73.

The three golfers are again the only players in the field to be under par. Eddie Hargett of Columbia continued to hold on to fourth place,but is now six shots behind the leader.

The final round is set for Tuesday. Sixty-four golfers and ties made the cut at 19-over par.
