USC Upstate grad Ryan Cornfield shot rounds of 71 and 72 to stand at 1-under par and in a tie for 17th place.

Several other golfers from the area are below the cut line, but with two rounds remaining could earn the opportunity to advance to the finals.

USC Upstate grad Josh Gallman from Gaffney and Clemson grad Carson Young from Pendleton are at 2-over par and tied for 34th place. The two golfers are three shots over the cut line.

Two former USC golfers have a lot of ground to make up to advance to the finals. Matt NeSmith is tied for 63 place at 8-over par. Will Starke is tied for 70th at 12 over par.

Three other qualifying tournaments begin on November 7th.
