T.L. Hanna senior Erik Erlenkeuser added another major accomplishment to one of the state’s top high school golf careers.

Erlenkeuser won the individual state championship for the second straight season, finishing at 7-under-par 135 to finish in front of Greenwood’s Bryson McCurry and Greenville’s Thomas Demint, who tied for second at 139.

The Hanna senior overcame an early triple bogey during the final round before battling back with steady play to secure the title.

While the future Georgia Southern golfer takes state team and individual titles from his high school career his best memories of his career,

“The best part of my career has been with the team. The trips and hanging around with the team is my best memory,” said Erlenkeuser.
