First Tee of Spartanburg and Cherokee County golfer Grace Vaughan received the best part of her prize for winning the Wells Fargo Succeeding Together contest.
Vaughan had her pick of any of the pros playing in the Wells Fargo tournament at Quail Hollow in Charlotte.
Vaughan had hoped to play with World #1 Rory Mcllroy if he was going to play at Charlotte.
Mcllroy entered the tournament and at a special pairings party before the pro-am Vaughan got to make the first pick and picked Mcllroy.
The young golfer from Chesnee High School also received a $500 Visa gift card and a $3,500 prize from Wells-Fargo. Vaughan and her family received first class accommodations at the tournament.
When it came to playing on the course Vaughan teed it up and helped her team to finish at 12-under par.
Vaughan earned the rank of Eagle in the 1st Tee Program at Woodfin Ridge in Boiling Springs.
In addition to taking 1st Tee instruction, Vaughan also helps the younger golfers in the program at Woodfin Ridge and The Creek.
