The final round of the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington was washed out. Heavy rain over night and the prospect for more rain on Sunday made it impossible to start the round.
The 36 hole scores determined the winners and Duke held a one shot lead over Alabama at the end of play on Saturday.
Beth Lillie of Virginia and Ana Belac of Duke shared medallist honors. The t wo golfers shot 9-under par 135 totals.
Alabama golfer Lauren Stephenson from Lexington and Furman’s Natalie Srinivasan from Spartanburg each finished at 6-under par 138 to tie for third place.
The Lady Paladins as a team finished in 6th place with a 5821 total. Clemson shot 596 and finished in 14th place for the tournament.
The tournament was expected to be a shoot-out among some of t he top teams in the country. Duke was ranked 4th with Alabama ranked 2nd in the Golf Stat Poll.
Five of the Top-10 teams and 9 of the top 20 teams were in the field at the Dye Course at The Country Cub of Landfall.
