Furman survived a compressed tournament schedule and miserable final round conditions to finish a strong second at the Bryan National in Browns Summit, NC.
With the expectation of bad weather the tournament played 36 holes the first day and the final round on Saturday.
The Lady Paladins finished five shots behind Wake Forest for the team title. The Deacons Jennifer Kupcho won the individual title by 2-shots at the Bryan Park Champions course.
Sophomore Natalie Srinivasan finished at 6-over par to tie for eighth under harsh conditions. The Lady Paladins were again well represented at the top of the leader board.
Defending Southern Conference individual champion Natalie Srinivasan was the top Lady Paladin finishing in a tie for 8th place. Senior Alice Chen tied for 12th place while junior Haylee Harford finished in a tie for 16th.
South Carolina finished fifth in the tournament.
Clemson golfer Sydney Legacy had another fine tournament with a tie for third place individually while helping the Tigers to a ninth place finish.
The ACC Women’s tournament has been moved to Grandover Resort east course. The date has also been pushed back 1 day it will now be April 21-23.
This was the final tune up for the #7 Lady Paladins before they try to win their fourth SoCon title in a row. Furman begins play in the conference tournament on April 15th at Moss Creek Plantation near Hilton Head.
