Just in time for the start of Regional tournaments the South Carolina High School Golf Coaches have issued a ranking for the teams in the three classifications.
The rankings very closely reflect the way the season has played out for girls teams around South Carolina.
Blythewood has been the dominant AAAAA team in every tournament they have played.
In the AAAA Classification May River won the title last year and again has an outstanding team. A couple of teams in the AAAA Classification could give the Sharks some competition.
In the AAA Classification which includes AA and A teams Gilbert won last year and while challenged by Chesnee often this year, the Indians have been able to stay in front of the Eagles in most events.
Regional play to determine the teams that will compete in the Upper and Lower State qualifying tournaments next week are going on this week.
Here are the results we have been able to collect. If you have some we missed or are playing later this week please send the results along to us at golfclubsc@gmail.com or text to 864-921-5471.
