“I had been playing good. I was working on my game. but the first couple of rounds I didn’t play bad, but I didn’t have many great holes,” said Nimmer “But then all of a sudden it clicked for me,” he said.

Nimmer got to four-under par quickly in his final round and started doing the math. He was certain he was close to the lead so instead of coasting in he birdied numbers 10 11 and 12 .

“I made a few more birdies coming and found out that the win gave me some status on the Korn-Ferry Tour next year and so I have a place to play next year for sure,” Nimmer said.

The win guaranteed Nimmer eight starts on the 2024 Korn-Ferry Tour and also sent him to the Q School finals with a chance to improve his status for next year moving up from the Korn-Ferry Tour to the PGA Tour.

“This is great. it is a good feeling. Keep playing good golf and that takes care of everything else,” said Nimmer.

Former Gamecock golfer Keenan Huskey also goes into the Q School final playing very good golf.
