
Each year the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association sponsors All-Star competition at the end of each sports season.
The competitions may be an All-Star game featuring graduating seniors or in golf a Ryder Cup style match.
Outstanding senior golfers are nominated by their coaches and selected by the South Carolina Golf Coaches Association,

This year the annual North-South All-Star golf matches will be held at the Greenville County Club.
“We are so appreciative of the courses that allow us to have this honor for our players as they close out their high school careers,” stated Red Cook of JL Mann High School, who is President of the Golf Coaches Association,
Many of the All-Star players were on teams competing for state championships and will play in the matches at Riverside May 17th to May 19th.
The state is divided in half using the South Carolina High School League Region alignment.
The North team will be coached by Byrnes coach Arthur Brooks and assistant coach Chip Whitt from Greenwood.
North-All-Stars – Richard Anaclerio-Aiken, Beau Lewis – Eastside, DJ Belcher – Mauldin, Groves Williams – Christ Church, Matthew Morgan – Riverside, Evan Eassy – Mauldin, Hunter Warren – Catawba Ridge,Trad Gillespie – Byrnes.
South-All-Stars – Chase Cline – Chapin, Matthew Teegardin – Bishop England, Ty O’Brien – Myrtle Beach, Gage Gaskins -Lexington, Vaughn McMeans – Oceanside, Dallas Johnson – Wando, Simon McAlister – Beaufort. Roman Mullinax – Lexington.
The South team will be coached by head coach Roger Smith from River Bluff High School and assistant coach Gerald Lloyd from Wando High School. The South All-Stars include Chase Cline – Chapin , Matthew Teegardin – Bishop Englan, Ty O’Brien – Myrtle Beach, Gage Gaskins -Lexington, Vaughn McMeans – Oceanside, Dallas Johnson – Wando , Simon McAlister – Beaufort, Roman Mullinax – Lexington
“Each year the caliber of players seems to get better and better,” said Cook.
Players will compete in a Ryder Cup Style format of Modified Alternate Shot, Best-Ball, and Singles matches.
The North leads the all time series, which began in 1997, 15-11.
