Spartanburg’s Todd White and his partner Nathan Smith from Pittsburgh won two matches and are now in the semi-finals of the USGA Four-Ball championship.
White and Smith beat Austin Smotherman and Bryson DeChambeau 2&1.
In the quarter-final match the team topped Jason and Ryan Higton 3&2 to advance to the semi-finals.
White and Smith will face Austin Connelly and Sam Burns for the opportunity to play for the first ever USGA Four-Ball championship.
Carolina golfers have won three of the four spots in the quarter-finals. Scott Harvey, the reigning Mid-Am champion and Todd Mitchell will face CGA Mid-Am champion Sherill Britt and Greg Earnhardt in the other quarter-final match.
The matches are being televised on the Fox Sports Cable Network.
