
Natalie Srinivasan and Walker Campbell won the girls and boys championships at the Jimmy Self Junior Festival of Flowers.
Spartanburg’s Natalie Srinivasan shot a 3-under par 69 to win the girl’s title at the Jimmy Self Jr. Festival of Flowers.
Walker Campbell of Hilton Head won the boy’s title by a shot at the Greenwood Country Club.
The Dorman High School golfer finished the two day tournament with a 140 4-under par total.
Victoria Huskey of Travelers Rest finished in second place at 6-over par. Carly Lyvers of Greenville was third finishing at 9-over par.
“I just putted well all weekend and just did not miss many shots” said Srinivasan.
Campbell led the tournament from start to finish. He opened the tournament with a 3-under par 69 and completed his victory with a 2-under par 70 for a 5-under par tournament best 139.
Campbell and Christian Salzar of Sumter were tied going to the final hole. On the last hole Campbell finished with a par while Salzar carded a bogey.
The victory was Campbell’s first major SCJGA major championship.
Rhett Merritt of Easley finished at even par for third place while Jacob Bridgeman of Inman finished at 2-over par.
