If one Todd in a golf tournament usually means a place on the leader board, two Todds this year has meant a win.
Walter Todd and his nephew Thomas Todd teamed up to shoot a final round 65 to claim the SCGA Mid-Am Four-Ball championship at Prestwick Country Club in Myrtle Beach.
Earlier this year Walter and his son Neal teamed up to win the SCGA Dudley-Sullivan Father-Son Championship.
The Todds trailed first round leaders Jamie Lightsey and Baxter Culler by a shot after the first round. The two former USC Upstate golfers shot a first round 65 to take the opening round lead.
The tournament turned for the Todds when Thomas went on a three hole birdie binge on the final nine holes. The younger Todd birdied holes 11 through 13 to help the team claim a two-shot victory.
Four teams finished tied for second in the championship. Bryan Kelley and Jay McAllister, Chad Meldrum and Stephen Poole, Jr., Josh Branyon and Jeff McCutcheon along with first round leaders Culler and Lightsey all finished at 133.
