Coker College has a three shot lead over Converse at the Converse Fall Invitational at the Carolina Country Club.
The Cobra’s were led by Angela Luna, who is in fourth place and Kelli Smith, who is tied for fifth place as the team shot a 318 total for the first 18 holes.
Converse was led by Grace Magera and Grace Mceachern who each carded rounds of 7 over par 79 to be tied for 7th place in the individual standings.
All five Converse golfers are in the top-14 of the field.
Megan Holbrooks from Pfeiffer shot an opening round 2-over par 74 to hold the individual lead by one shot over Kaitlyn Gribbon of Belmont Abbey.

Cobb’s Glen in Anderson is hosting the Anderson University Invitational and the host’s women’s team holds the first round lead.
Sophomore Kate Hill is the top Anderson golfer after shooting a 4-over par 76. She is joined by four other Trojan golfers in the top-10 to give Anderson a four shot lead after the first round.
Lincoln Memorial University senior Dominika Czudkova shot an opening-round 74 leads Hill by two strokes.
Five golfers, including AU senior Riley Lovorn and junior Tiffany Elam are seven strokes off the pace and share the third spot.
AU MEN’S INVITATIONAL
Georgia Southwestern has a one shot lead over Anderson after the first round of the men’s competition at Cobb’s Glen.
Elias Birkiland of Georgia Southwestern is tied with Drew Buffaloe of Bob Jones University shot opening round scores of 73 to hold a one shot lead over a pair of Anderson golfers.
Senior Forrest Fowler and freshman Cal Brock each shot rounds of 2-over par 74 to be tied for second place.
Bob Jones University is third in the team standings after the first round.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 AM.
