One of the first high school tournaments of the new season was played at the Furman Golf Club on Monday.
Future Wofford golfer Levi Moody from Travelers Rest shot 7-under par to win the Greenville Red Raider Invitational.
The 27 hole tournament included 16 teams from around the state. Mauldin won the team championship by two shots over Eastside.
The Mavericks shot 458 while Eastside carded a 460 total. Byrnes finished in third with Dorman fourth and Blue Ridge fifth.
Moody shot a 101 total to win by three shots over Dorman’s Nathan Franks who finished at 4-under par for the 27 holes.
Zander Briggs from Woodmont and Barrett Josey from Byrnes finished tied for third place at 108.

Mauldin golfers Onterio Jones and Llyeton Renner tied for fifth place.
Joining Jones and Renner on the winning Mauldin team were John Hunter, Jay Wilkins and Charlie Heitz.
The second place team from Eastside included Jimmy McCollum, Conner Fahey, Calahan Keever, Ted Griffin and Aaron Westbury.
