Burdines win Father-Son Championship

Mike and Tyler Burdine won the Third Division and the overall championship at the Dudley Sullivan Father-Son Championship.

The team of Mike and Tyler Burdine from Greenville came from the third division to win the annual Dudley-Sullivan Father-Son championship played at the Greenville Country Club’s courses.

Golfers in the tournament were pre-flighted into divisions but golfers from any of the five groups could win the overall championship.

The Burdines won the select drive and alternate shot competition by shooting a 4-under par 68. The father-son team won the third division title and the overall championship.

The team of Jay and Tom Davis won the second division title and finished one shot behind the Burdines in second place.

Tom and Wes Reeves won the division one championship. The team shot a 2-under par 70 for the division win and tie with the runner-ups from division two, Chris and Duane Barnes.

The very popuiar SCGA event was played at both the Riverside and Chanticleer courses at Greenville. The field included 88 teams.

Jay and Scott Davis won division two. The team finished second in the overall competition and one shot in front of Chris and Duane Barnes for the division.

Wes and Tom Reeves won the division one competition and finished one shot in front of the team of former champions Levi and Mark Moody

Bryce and Randy Donavan won the fifth division by a shot over Russell and William West.

Bo Davies and Will Thompson won the fourth division by a shot over Dave and Shawn Bradosky.
