The Daniel and Chesnee girls’ golf teams captured tournament wins in tight competition at a pair of events in the Upstate.
At the Lady Hurricane played at Southern Oaks, Daniel and Pickens finished in a tie for the top spot with identical 339 scores.
The highlight of the tournament was the amazing 61 shot by Chloe Holder to claim medalist honors.
On Sunday Holder won her second straight Harvey Brock Orange Jacket Classic at Brookstone and continued her fine play the very next day.
The future Augusta State golfer shot 11-under par for a 10 shot victory in the individual competition.

At Southern Oaks Daniel and Pickens finished regulation play in a tie at 339 at the Lady Hurricane Invitational.
The two teams went into a playoff and Daniel was able to win the tournament on the first playoff hole.
The members of the Daniel team included Courtney Collins, Peyton O’Brien, Sarah Whitfield, Laney Plumblee and Emmie Stewart.

At Stoney Point in Greenwood the Greenwood Eagle Invitational was played.
Some of the top teams and players in the state were in the 17 team field.
As at Southern Oaks, the tournament at Stoney Point finished regulation with two teams tied at the top.

Masked up after their win at Stoney Point the Chesnee Eagles team included Isabella Britt, Sydney Roberts, Olivia Roberts, Becca Watson and Addy Parker.
Gilbert and Chesnee each posted 26-over par 314 totals from a tournament field with several possible future state championship contenders.
Isabella Britt and Sydney Roberts each made clutch putts on their final holes to force the playoff with Gilbert.
Britt birdied her final hole while Roberts made birdies on numbers 17 and 18.
Pars on the playoff hole by Becca Watson and Sydney Roberts led the Eagles to the playoff win by the score of 20-18.
The Chesnee girls twitter feed posted a picture of the Eagles holding the first place trophy for a very good win over a strong field.
The winning Eagles team included Isabella Britt, Sydney Roberts, Olivia Roberts, Becca Watson and Addy Parker.
The golfers on the runner-up team from Gilbert included Kennedy Gooding, Meredith Price, Alexis Hodge and Edie Raine Hardee.
While the team title was able to be decided in a playoff the event ran out of daylight and was not able to complete a playoff for the individual title.
Three golfers tied for medalist honors at 1-under par.
Chesnee’s Britt, Boiling Springs Madison Dixon and Chapin’s Emily Baker each shot rounds of 71 to share top honors.
Gooding from Gilbert, Roberts from Chesnee and MK Talledo from Boiling Springs t all finished in a tie for fourth place.
After Daniel and Chesnee, Boiling Springs was third with Emerald and AC Flora rounding out the top 5.
