Alan Stepp and Kyle Mathis are tied for the lead going into the final round of the Spartanburg County Amateur at Woodfin Ridge.
Mathis moved into a tie for the lead after shooting the best round of the tournament so far. Mathis carded a 5-under par 67 for a two day total of 139.
Stepp, a 5-time Woodfin Ridge club champion, shot a 2-under par 70 to go along with his 3-under par 69 in the first round to be tied with Mathis.
2018 champion Trevor Phillips is just a shot behind as is Reed Bentley.
The former Byrnes High School standout shot a 4-under 68 to move up into the tie for second with the former champion. Phillips had a 2-under par 70 to keep pace with the leaders.
Craig Parris rounds out the top five with a 36 hole total of 142.
First round co-leader Barrett Josey dropped back into a tie for sixth place after shooting a 4-over par 76 on Saturday.
Josey is tied with David Rose and Josh McMillan for sixth place.
Kevin Moore has the lead in the Tournament Division by 3-shots over Stephen Bouchard.
Third round tee times begin at 7:30 am with the leaders set to start their final round at 1:50 pm off the first tee.
