Jacob Bridgeman and Andrew Novak Join Elite RBC Heritage Field

Two of the brightest professional golf stars from South Carolina have been added to the field for the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town this week.

Jacob Bridgeman and Andrew Novak will join the elite field of 80 PGATour players at the designated “Signature” event.

The Heritage is one of eight Signature Events in 2025. The limited-field event features the top players with increased prize money ($20 million) and FedExCup points (700 points to the winner).

Both golfers had to wait for the results of the Masters before they found out they had made the field.

“I’m not real sure how it works,” said Bridgeman. “I just know I want to play in those events with the best players on Tour,” he said,

Novak was hoping his ranking would get him in to what he called his “HomeTown ‘ tournament.

“I grew up going to the Heritage every year,” said the Charleston native. “Being from South Carolina it was the tournament I wanted to play in,” he said.

Bridgeman and Novak have played their way up in the Fed/Ex points race as each golfer has recorded a pair of top 3 finishes after flirting with their first PGA Tour win .

Going into the Heritage, Novak is 36th in the standings while Bridgeman is 37th. The two are separated by 13 points.

Bridgeman finished the Cognizant Classic tied for second place and added a 15th place finish at the Arnold Palmer Championship at Bay Hill.

His best tournament of the year came at the Valspar Championship. The Clemson grad led or shared the lead for three days before finishing third.
