Jacob Bridgeman from Chapman High School will have the opportunity to defend his AAA individual state championship.
The future Clemson golfer finished on top of the AAA Qualifying tournament at the Chester Golf Club.
Bridgeman shot a 1-over 73 to be one of the three individuals to qualify for the state championship starting on May 15th at True Blue Golf Club on Pawleys Island.
Palmetto High School topped the team qualifying with a 330 score. The Mustangs were led by Chase Hill who shot a 74 to finish second to Bridgeman.
Logan Hawkins, Parker Jackson, Theo Davis and Christian Rankin will try to bring a state championship back to Williamston.
Other teams qualifying for the state championship included 2) Mid Carolina – 334, 3) Tie, Woodruff, Emerald – 336, 5) Powdersville – 338, 6) Pendleton – 346, 7) Crescent – 347, 8) Walhalla – 348.
In addition to Bridgeman, Willis Lelly of Camden and Blake Rodgers of West-Oak qualified as individual entrants.
