The National Letter of Intent signing period began on Wednesday and will run through November 15th. A second signing period begins on April 11, 2018 and is open until August 1st.

Katie Whitfield signed her letter of intent to play at Bowling Green. Whitfield won The Blade and the CGA SC Match Play Championship last year and finished second in the SC High School AAAA championship. She is from Daniel High School in Clemson.

Tyler Gray has signed on to play college golf at Coastal Carolina. Gray won the SCISA AA Championship this year and was the runner-up at the Creed Boys Invitational.

Alec Vardas from Lexington will play college golf at North Greenville. Vardas was the runner-up in the Ford-Picard Christmas Classic. He has also earned a number of top-10 finishes on the GSA Tour.

Grant Sellers from McBee has signed with Francis Marion. Sellers won the Class A SC individual state championship and the CGA Greed Invitational. Heis ranked 21st in South Carolina

Owen Burden of Marist High School in Atlanta will play college golf at Furman. Burden played in the Ga vs SC team matches and helped his team win the Georgia AAAA state championship last year.

Harry Reynolds will play college golf at Indiana. The Christ Church golfer had a second place finish at the Southern Cross and two third place finishes at the Tee Off Classic and SC High School Region 1 AA. He also earned a sixth place finish at The Blade last July.

Victoria Hall from Byrnes is another fine local golfer who will play on the next level at Anderson. Hall won the Lady Rebel, finished second at the Transou Memorial and finished fifth in the SC AAAAA individual championship.

Brady Hinkle from Lancaster will play college golf at Coastal Carolina. Hinkle recently posted a second place finish at the Cheraw Fall Challenge, he finished eighth at the Pinehurst N-S Boys, tied for third at the CGA SC Junior Match Play and tied for second at the Creed Boys Invitational.
