High School Golf

SC High School golf season ends officially

SC Schools closed for the year, so no HS golf championships as well as other spring sports in South Carolina.
SC Schools Superintendent Molly Spearman said fall sports seasons starting when schools are scheduled to reopen In August is possible.
Unclear if there can be any organized pre-season practices or camps for girls golf, 7 on 7 football, bands and cheerleaders.
The SC High School League calendar for the new school year begins on June 1st.
If given the approval by the governor, sports and extracurricular activities could begin.
It would be great to get everything going again by June, but an educated guess would be nothing organized by schools would be allowed until and if schools open in August. Most if not all summer 7 on 7 or college camps have been cancelled.
Golf schedules for the summer are still undecided.
The SCGA and CGA have suspended all activities until at least May 10th.
Too many questions still exist about COVID-19 transmission and the chance of spreading the infection and liability issues.
Hope I am wrong
