Limestone Senior Levi Moody won a playoff for the victory at the Camden Intercollegiate, played at the Camden Country Club.
The tournament was scheduled to play 36 holes on Monday, but the second round was suspended before it could be completed.
When play was suspended, Moody was 28th after shooting an opening round 1-over par 71.
When he finished the second round early Tuesday, he posted another 1-over par 71 on his scorecard and picked up 15 places going into the final round.
Erskine’s Alberto Dominguez had the lead after the first two rounds.
Last year’s Conference Carolina’s Player of the Year shot a 36-hole total of 5-under par, but in the final round he shot a 5-over 75 to finish a shot behind the three leaders and miss the playoff by a shot.
Moody shot a 5-under par 65 as did USC Aiken’s Leo Johnsson to tie with Luke Harries from Lincoln Memorial and finish the 54 hole regulation play tied.
It took Moody three playoff holes before the Travelers Rest High School grad was able to win his first college tournament.
Lincoln Memorial won the team title.
