Roberts keeps share of the WSCGA Am second round lead

Future Clemson golfer Sydney Roberts held on to her share of the lead at the WSCGA Amateur, but she has a new co-leader going into the final round.

Furman golfer Sophia Burnett from Bluffton shot a second round even par 72 to move up a spot and tie Roberts.

Yesterday, the 2021 SC AAA individual champion shot a 2-under par 70 while she carded a 1-over par 73 in the second round to tie Burnett at even par.

First round co-leader Georgia Southern golfer Karlee Vardas from Lexington finished with a 2-over par 74 to drop to third place at even par.

The top three golfers are the only competitors who are at or under par on the Old Hickory Course at Fort Jackson.

Lee Ann Brown took over the lead in the State Division by shooting a 2-over par 74. The Bulls Bay golfer leads Natalie Huff from th Wildwood Club by 5-shots going into the final round.

Louise Givens from the Debordieu Club kept her lead in the Super-Senior Division.
