
Halfway through the UNC Health Championship both Jacob Bridgeman and Trent Phillips dropped out of a tie for third, but still are comfortably within striking distance of the lead at the Raleigh Country Club.
Bridgeman shot a 1-under par 69. He carded five-birdies, but two of his four bogeys came in his last three holes.
The 2022 ACC champion finished the 36-holes at 7-under par to trail yesterdays co-leader Kyle Westmoreland by 4 shots and is in a tie for sixth.
Phillips again matched Bridgeman with a 1-under par to tie for sixth place.
The four time Georgia All-American had three birdies on his first nine holes, but took a couple of bogeys on his second nine to finish at 1-under par and joins Bridgeman and three other golfers in a tie for sixth.
Westmoreland has a one shot lead over Jorge Fernandez Valdes at the half way mark,
Among golfers with local ties making the best move in Raleigh was Taylor Dickson. The Winthrop grad shot a 65 to move up 48 spots into a tie for 22nd at 4-under par.
