Bradshaw advances at Junior, three Carolina Seniors qualify for national

A South Carolina Junior topped his opponent in the Round of 64 at the US Junior and three South Carolina Seniors swept all the qualifying positions for the USGA Senior Women’s Amateur.

Bradshaw advances to Round of 32

Sage Bradshaw started Match Play and drubbed his first round opponent, Drew Woolworth, by an 8 & 6 score.

Bradshaw, from Bluffton, had finished the stroke play qualifying in the third seed and took control of the match early and finished it early.

The future College of Charleston golfer now will go against Brooks Simmons in the round of 32.

South Carolina Seniors sweep Alabama qualifier

It probably looked like a home game for three top senior golfers from the Palmetto State at the Burnt Brook Golf Course in Bessemer City, Alabama.

Three South Carolina golfers qualified for the USGA Women’s Senior Amateur to be played at The Omni Homestead (Cascades Course), Hot Springs, Va. starting on September 13th.

Pam Prescott from Powdersville led the qualifying for the championship.

Prescott shot a 71 to finish a shot in front of Mount Pleasant Lee Anne Brown who carded a 72.

The third qualifying position was earned by Lea Venable of Simpsonville who shot a 74.
