Williamston’s  Makalyn Poole three-peated as the Girls Anderson County Junior Golf Champion.

Poole cruised to victory with stellar rounds of 68 and 69 for a 7-under, 137 total. She birdied 5 of the first six holes on the first day of competition and never looked back.

Pendleton’s Colt Martin won a two-hole playoff with Ben Loudermilk to capture the Boys Anderson County Junior Golf Champion.

Martin and Loudermilk made it a tight match the entire way as both players shot 72 and 73 respectively for 1-over total’s of 145.

Martin is a rising Junior at Pendleton High School and Loudermilk is a rising sophomore at St. Joseph’s Prep.

Poole is a 2015 graduate of Palmetto High School and is moving on to play college golf at Anderson University.

The Tournament was held in conjunction with the Upstate Chapter of the SCJGA Hootie & the Blowfish Junior Golf Series and played at Smithfields Country Club and Pickens Country Club.
