Furman holds SoCon tourney lead

Natalie Srinivasan is the top Lady Paladin golfer after 36 holes of the SoCon championship. Srinivasan is second going into the final round.

The Lady Paladins added to their first round lead, but the battle for the SoCon women’s championship is still very close.

Furman has won the last four team and individual titles.

The Lady Paladins hold a 3-shot lead over Chattanooga. The Mocs moved ahead of Mercer into second place with a second round score of 300.

The Lady Paladins stand at 22 over par for the three shot lead over Chattanooga and a five shot lead over Mercer.

Natalie Srinivasan, the 2017 SoCon individual champion, leads the Lady Paladins with a 3-over par total through the first 36 holes.

Srinivasan trails Monica San Juan by six shots. The Chattanooga golfer shot her second under par round to stand at 3-under par for the tournament.

First round Hayley Harford from Furman is in a tie for third place at 4 over par. The Lady Paladins have four golfers in the top-15.

The Wofford Terriers are in seventh place going into the final round. Kristine Torralba is the top Terrier golfer carding a two-day total of 8-over par.

The final round of the championship will be played at the Moss Creek Plantation course near Hilton Head starting at 8:00 am on Tuesday.
