Tigers and Gamecocks in Regional Play

The Clemson Tigers are fifth after the first round of the Austin, TX NCAA Regional. South Carolina is sixth at the Pullman, Washington Regional.

The Tigers trail first round leader Pepperdine by 6-shots. The Waves shot a 278 total while the Tigers posted 284.

Clemson was led by Kyle Cottam who shot a 1-under par 70 to finish the first day in a tie for ninth place.

Cottam received good support from Colby Patton and Jacob Bridgeman each  shot even par rounds of 71.

The ACC player of the year, Bryson Nimmer finished at 2-over par and is in a tie for 22nd place.

Pullman Washington, NCAA Regional

South Carolina has a pair of golfers in the top-10 at the Pullman, Washington Regional.

Scott Stevens and Ryan Stachler each shot 67s to finish the first round in a tie for ninth place.

The Gamecocks are in a tie for 6th place after shooting a 275 total.

Texas A&M has the lead after carding a 269 total.

Athens, Georgia Regional

The Georgia Bulldogs have the lead after the first round on their home course. Trent Phillips from Boiling Springs shot an even par round of 72.

The Bulldogs have a two shot lead over Vanderbilt after 18 holes.

A pair of Upstate golfers are playing in the regional as individual entrants.

Keller Harper from Furman and Jordan Warnock from USC Upstate each shot an opening round 2=-over par 73 and are tied for 21at place.
