Steve Liebler carded an even par second round to take over the lead at the SCGA Senior Amateur.
The SCGA Hall of Fame golfer started the second round of the 54 hole event trailing Blythewoods’s Eddie Hargett by 2-shots.
Liebler turned in a pretty clean scorecard after shooting on even par 72.
He had a birdie on his first hole, a bogey on his sixth hole and pars on all the others.

The cut was made at 159. Tee times begin at 8:30 Thursday with the leaders teeing off at 10:31 am.

Hargett suffered a pair of double-bogyeys in his second round to drop off the lead.
The 2019 SCGA Senior Player of the Year finished at 5-over par 77 to finish tied for second place.
Rick Cloninger from Rock Hill posted a 1-over par 73 in the opening round and was 2-shots better in the second round.
The 2-time senior champion carded a 1-under par 71 for the best round of the day and a tie for second place with Hargett.
The 2017 champion, Greenville’s Geno Berchiatti, is in fourth place with a 2-day 145 total while Laurens’ Walter Todd dropped from third place into fifth place after shooting a 4-over par 76.
