
Pam Prescott’s first victory at the USGA Women’s Senior Amateur was just getting to Alaska to play in the tournament.
The Southern Oaks golfer has advanced to the round of 32 at the USGA Women’s Senior Amateur being played in Anchorage, Alaska.
Prescott advanced to the round of 64 after shooting qualifying tournament rounds of 79 and 75 for a 154 total and the 12th seed in the first match play round.
The Powdersville High School golf coach won her first round match over Caryn Wilson of Lake Tahoe, NV by the score of 5 & 3.
Next up for Prescott is the 20th seeded Terrill Samuel from Canada in a round of 32 match.

Brenda Kuehn from Asheville also advanced out of the first round at the Anchorage Country Club.
Kuehn defeated Tara Caldabaugh from Ponte Vedra, Fl. 3&2 to advance into the round of 32 and a match with Staci Slobonik-Stoll.
