
The Furman Lady Paladins and Anna Morgan both stretched their leads in the second round of the SoCon Championship being played at Moss Creek Plantation near Hilton Head.
Furman shaved four strokes off their first round total and that helped to increase their team lead over Mercer to 15 shots going into the final round.
Anna Morgan improved on her first round score of 70 to shoot a second round 68 and build her lead to 5-shots over Madison Isaacson from Western Carolina.
Morgan’s teammate Chloe Johnson matched her first round 1-over par 73 and is fourth overall.
Wofford’s Nicole Amos gave a couple of shots back and is now tied for sixth in the individual portion of the championship.
The Terriers as a team are fifth.

Anderson pads lead at the SAC Championship

Three Anderson golfers are competing for medalist honors with freshman Alejandro De Castro keeping the lead over teammates Reece Coleman and Calahan Keever.
Limestone’s Kristoffer Larsson moved up into a tie for third with Keever.
The Saints are fifth going into the final round on Tuesday.

Winthrops Faulconer tied for Big South lead
The Big South is playing its mens championship this week at the Patriot, near Ninety Six, and Winthrop’s Ian Faulconer has a share of the lead going into the final round.
The former Greenville County High School champion had the first round lead, but was caught by Bryce Corbett from Radford in the second round.
Both golfers stand at 3-under par going into the final round on Tuesday,
Longwood has the team lead by 3-shots over Charleston Southern and Radford.

Converse in the hunt at Conference Carolinas championship

Converse has had a good season with a pair of wins and now the Valkyries are in third place going into the final round of the Conference Carolinas Championship being played at the Cutter Creek Club in Tennessee,
Converse is 8-shots back of leader UNC Pembroke, but just 1-shot behind Erskine.
The Valkyries Helena Noel had the best round of the day carding a 1-over 73 to move up into a tie with North Greenville’s Nicole Kramer and Erskine’s Amanda Guzman.
