When you decide it is time for a new club, or two or set making sure your clubs are fit to you is the first step to better golf.
By Pass Golf in Spartanburg has been using Trackman to fit golfers for some time.
Now Garrett Alexander has joined the staff and brings his years of experience as a golf professional, teacher and club fitter to the shop in Spartanburg.
.Alexander comes to ByPass golf after servicing as an assistant golf professional at the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island..
“It was great experience and I learned a lot, but what I wanted to do was teach and fit golfers,” said the Union native.
When Wes Reeves left By Pass to become the Callaway fitter serving the LPGA Tour, Alexander got a chance to come back to the Upstate and work with people who had encouraged and guided him early in his golf career
“I’ve known Todd and Chip, (the owners of By Pass golf) for a long time they have always helped and encouraged me about my golf career,” he said.
After graduating from Union County High School he began playing golf at Spartanburg Methodist College.
“My college coach Kyle Owings helped me make golf a career,” he said
After SMC Alexander enrolled and graduated form the Professioonnal Golfers Career College on Hilton Head, Island, a two year college for aspiring golf pros.
“As I learned more about the golf swing and fitting golf clubs I wanted to help golfers play better and enjoy the game more,” said Alexander.
Working with the Trackman club fitting system has given Alexander the tools he needs to help golfers of all skill levels play better by having their clubs fit.
With the precision analysis provided by the Trackman, Alexander can help golfers cut down on the bad shots and improve the good ones.
“You don’t have to be a perfect ball striker to benefit from a fitting, in fact we probably learn as much about how to fit your clubs from some bad shots,” he said.
“If someone is into all the statistics and numbers in their golf swing Trackman can give it to them,” he said.
If you are not a swing geek the new club fitter can break down the numbers to make sure you understand what they are telling you about your swing.

“After fitting we can build up the clubs here with our large inventory or if it is something we don’t have, we can get it pretty fast,” said Alexander..
With the price of new clubs getting up there, golfers will want to get their money’s worth from their new clubs.
By Pass offers several different fittings from a driver to a whole bag, The Trackman can also be used to gap your irons and other measurements.
Golfers can go online at http://www.295bypassgolf.com to make an appointment for a fitting with Alexander.
“I want to help every golfer get fit in the right clubs so they can play their best,” concluded Alexander.
