Rain rain go away, let the South Carolina High School girls play for their championship another day!.
The other day is Tuesday and the classification championships able to play will hopefully finish their second 18 holes while the classifications that had their first round postponed or washed out will play an 18 hole shoot-out.
Of the five state championships, three dodged the weather and completed round one of the 36 hole final.
One got on the course, but only played six holes before weather forced the cancelation of the round and one more never started as heavy rain washed out the day.
Using the South Carolina Coaches App to provide some scores here is a round up of what was played andnot played on Monday.

South Carolina 2A-1A Chester Country Club – Chester
The tournament at the Chester Country Club decided to try a shot-gun start to see if it could beat the rain.
The first round got started, but standing water on the greens made play impossible.
When the round was stopped Atlantic Collegiate Academy had the lead over the defending champions from Chesnee.
Since each golfer did not play the same holes before play was stopped, the entire round was “washed out” and all teams will start over.
The 2A-1A title will be decided by an 18 hole shoot-out set to begin at 10 am with a shot gun start.
Chesnee, Academic Magnet and Atlantic Collegiate Academy will be paired for the championship round.
South Carolina 5A Division I – Carolina Country Club – Spartanburg
Early on Monday morning, the Spartanburg course was hit with a massive rain storm. There was no doubt golfers could not play the first round of the 5A Division I state championship.
A decision was made very early in the day to make the championship an 18 hole shoot-out on Tuesday.
The shot-gun start will begin at 10 Am. The teams from Dorman, Lexington and Carolina Forest will start on the first hole.
Live Scoring is available on the South Carolina Golf Coaches Association Ap. There is a charge for use of the ap. It is available from the Apple Ap store for I phones and I pads.
