There still is important golf to be played at the NCAA Regional and championship, but post season honors awards and all-star team selections are being made.
The Palmer Cup is one of the first to announce their post-season teams. The competition matches up golfers from the United States against a team of International golfers, who are mostly college golfers in the US.
Clemson’s Jacob Bridgeman and South Carolina’s Ryan Hall are among the 24 golfers, 12 men and 12 women, who will play for the United States in the Ryder Cup style matches at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois starting on June 11th.
Georgia’s Trent Phillips, from Boiling Springs, had been previously named to the team earlier in March.
The International team has a pair of very familiar names at the top of their team.
Pauline Roussin-Bouchard from France and Ana Pelaez Trivino from Spain, who are members of the top ranked South Carolina women’s team, are among the 12 women selected for the international team.
Wake Forest golfer Rachel Kuehn from Asheville will also play in the all-star event next month.
